Castlerigg Stone Circle - Page 2

I led my wife to a stone circle on our first date.
She sat at the alterstone in the sunlight.
We then walked to an island with a 7th century church, up the hill overlooking the Menai Strait. That was the first time I realised how beautiful she was, framed by sunbeams across the sky. We walked to the village for coffee and cake.
The stone circle under the bridge in the village is a magical place for both of us.

Oh that is so sweet. I definitely need to make it a goal to see these places at some point in my life if I ever save the money to do it. Are there hotels near these places?

Yes there are many, the Victoria hotel is very nice in Menai Bridge, then the Auckland Arms is a bar for young people that also has accommodation.
North Wales is an amazing place to visit; mountains, beaches and historical sites that are found all within a days travel.

I hope one day you will sample our Celtic hospitality.
