People are more likely to drink alcohol while watching TV if they see drinking being portrayed in films or view adverts for alcohol, a study has found. Ref. Source 4

I can understand this. There are times when I see a commercial about alcohol I am tempted to go and buy some. When I see a show with people drinking I am tempted to go look for a beer. This is one reason why I do not watch a lot of tv.
