Cave Real Estate
Did you hear about the guy who bought a cave on Ebay and now because of the housing crisis he is in danger of losing it and may put it back on Ebay for sale.
This is one that I did actually catch. Inside is really nicely built and decorated. Its too bad for him. I hope he does not have to sell. The cave is the property and he has bilt the house on the inside.

I wouldn't mind living in a cave but the only problem I'd be concerned about is cave ins! I mean its not nice to think about all that rock collapsing on you. Besides that selling your home on Ebay is definitely a way to go if you can't get a buyer. I hope the guy has success.

The cave owner is not unique. Millions of Americans are finding themselves close to or in foreclosure. This is why I always preach having a safety zone whenever you are in a mortgage. A mortgage should be something reasonably easy to pay. If you struggle to pay it in good times then you will suffer during bad times.

William Sleeper is the owner of this cave based home. The follow up on this story - they were able to get refinancing and pay for the cave home for less than $700 a month over the period of 15 years, so this is a happy ending. They said they did get one offer for $450,000.00 but refused to go for it because they really love the cave as their home.
