Yeah, she pretty much threw him under the bus when things went bad...

They always talk about when the sons were told, but I have yet to hear when she knew. I cannot help but think it had to be a bit earlier than the sons.

She does get to walk out with 2.5 million, but she has lost all property and I am fairly sure she still is retaining a high priced lawyer. That 2.5 million wont go too far with her taste since she used to burn through that amount pretty quickly in the life she was accustomed.

They are still looking at her and the kids in the "tragic event" as Bernie would say. This isnt over by a longshot, just Bernie's part has been resolved.

The question is why? She seemed to have been involved as much as her husband. I do not understand why they are giving her that kind of money that we do not even know where is coming from.

Well, they are still working on the ties, so dont give up hope yet. As I said, this is a long way from being over. Her and the kids are still being investigated. The only reason she gets to keep the 2.5 million USD is that this money is obviously hers and hers alone. Perhaps it was heritance...but it was hers as the government has said it cannot be tied to the crime or profits of the crime. I do believe her family was well off before she married.
