You decide to utilize the rest area, it has been a very long day and this entices you to become relaxed as you attend to yourselves. Within the first five minutes you realize that you are not alone. There is something in the darkness... You hear noises from the North passage.
GM: Everyone should send me their Combat Rolls.
GM: Based on rolls sent in.
You have been relatively relaxed here not taking any precautions about your rear save for just looking. You come to know that you cannot rest in a den of thieves as arrows swish through the air at you from the North passageway.
Wander curses as an arrow causes a small bruise to her forearm, not much to cause any real damage, it sticks in a wooden mug that was on one of the tables. She immediately arises and slams her back to a part of the room where no one has a shot.
You praise whatever gods there are as the arrows miss you completely and stick themselves in other items around the room.
GM: Say what you are doing now.
You quickly tip over a table, using it for cover and get ready to fire back. Your arrows seem to go a long way and then you hear the thud it makes against the cave's rocks and then the drop to the floor beneath. You cannot tell if you hit anything as there is now only the sounds of your breathing. Then suddenly you hear the sound of a door close and lock.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
You examine the 'furniture' in the room closer. It seems they have used boulders of various sizes for the base and stools. There is a couple of wooden table tops from a large tree. You guess it could seat about 20 people here easily.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
You make a barricade and then carefully head south. As you do so you find that you are entering a large area of the cave. It is like a natural formed dome. Ahead of you is a old wooden bridge about 20 feet across that leads to the other side. On the other side of the bridge you see a cave passageway leading further South. Beneath the bridge is a water way about 20 feet down like a small river that comes from the rock of the cave and disappears on the other side under the rock. It is not very deep, you can almost see the the ground where the water is flowing. Above is about a 20 foot ceiling that forms the dome.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
You move forward stepping on to the bridge but as soon as you put your first step the old rickety bridge sways terribly. It is held by ropes and what looks like old oak wood.
GM: To cross this bridge it will be necessary for you to put away any hand weapons and shield so you can hold on to the bridge ropes as you cross. If you do not wish to do that you will need to make a body check to see if you fall. Say what you wish to do now.
You each carefully cross the bridge with your hands clinging to the ropes and make it across safely. The passageway on the other side does not continue for long from where you are now you can see what is a similar door to the one you saw earlier. This door blocks your path from further pursuits to the South.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
These Bandits are persistent in sneak attacks. Before you can do much else arrows come flying through the air to your backs. They are coming from the side of the bridge you were once located. You are distraught as each of you take 2 hp of damage. Wanderer is not pleased and gets very angry as she launches across the bridge with her weapon in hand. The bridge sways from side to side but luckily she does not fall, her excellent dexterity thus saving her. She disappears into the darkness as you hear the sound of her sword hit against other swords and rock.
GM: Daphne on 3HP and Thomas: 16HP. Say what you wish to do now.
