Write & Edit Own Book
Is it possible to Write & Edit your Own Book?
Why not I think getting it published is the hard part. I would haw ever keep this in mind it is always best to have a different person check your work. Since you know what you intended to write when you proof read your mind fills in what may be missing, not so with a second party.
You can, but I don't think it will be done well enough. After writing a whle book you become blind to certain parts of it. Having an editor helps you to see certain things from another person's perspective. You can't do that if you're doing it all on your own.
Of course you can write and edit your own book, but I don't think you would be impartial when you're editing your own book. I think it would be better for you to find someone to be your editor, the second opinion would help you in developing your story.
And you can get a review before your book get published from your editor so you would know how good you are in writing.
And editor is really important, if you can find an editor, a real editor, it would be easier for you to get your book published.
If you write your own stuff then you kind of edit it while you're writing it. No matter how much you check over your work you will miss words. I get that a lot when I'm doing essays. You're thinking one thing but write something else and you need another person to catch that for you.
You can do anything. If you want to do it properly then you need an editor. Doing it yourself will still not do justice to your work and you'll end up pprinting with many mistakes that you or someone that read's your piece will pick up afterwhile.
