Millions of Americans suffer from fibromyalgia, an illness that often leaves patients unable to function because of intense pain. But a new drug recently approved by the FDA, is offering patients new hope.

Fibromyalgia is a syndrome featuring widespread muscular pains and fatigue, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Symptoms include widespread pain, abnormal pain processing, sleep disturbance and fatigue. Its cause is unknown, but researchers believe genetics and stressors contribute to its development. And it often co-exists with morning stiffness, tingling or numbness in hands and feet, headaches, irritable bowel syndrome and more. Ref. Source 2

Unfortunately fibromyalgia lacks proper treatment, but more than that proper education, among physicians even!
As a physician and a friend with fibromyalgia I'm speaking with some knowledge of the situation, so I'm hoping this is a good one (But alas I remaing skeptical, since there's a lot of research to be made on the condition first).
