Things don't add up in T&T

The Government still operates as if the public is utterly stupid. Let's examine the meaning of the following sentences made by Minister Mariano Browne, as reported in an article in the Saturday Express (March 14th, Page 4). Mr Browne, who previously stated that the country is not in recession, and that the Government was not going to fire any workers, said that employees of the Board of Inland revenue (BIR) and Customs & Excise Division were not being put on the breadline. In other words, they are not going to be fired. Ref. Source 3

Probably they are right. We're stupid for allowing the country to be ruined the way it is because we voted for them to be there, not me personally, I'm just writing loosely.
