They act like markers on a map or to stand in for an object you want to show players where its located like a chest in a room. Also I you create games or have board games missing pieces they can come in handy.

I'm going to guess that you can buy these in various colors so thy would come in handy for lots of uses. Actually I believe I've seen these before but I didn't know they were called "sorting chips".

You can purchase them in primary colors other places may offer more. I think they are great. Buy one pack to see what I'm talking about.
