My daughter turned 18 recently, and being very liberal parent I'm trying to "let her go" as easily as I can, but it's tremendously hard. Probably the hardest thing in parenting since I gave birth to her 18 years ago. I feel so disappointed in her choices that it puts all my perspective about loving, nonjudgmental, nurturing parenting into different perspective. What if I was mistaken? What if I should've instill more practical values in her. Plus, it doesn't seem that she's taking it easily also, she has no idea who she is and what is that that she wants to do in life. What about you at this age? Do you remember how did you come to be this successful gal or fella you are today, and what did your parents do right with you at that age, and what did they do wrong? I'm more interested in "kids" grown in big cities in more or less liberal communities. Thank you.
