It seems to me that the doggie is a spoilt rotten dog Awww poor thing, I am sure he did not mean to hurt you, that's what I love the most about puppies, they play so wild and they are so innocent.

Nighthawk, sorry to hear about the need for surgery on your finger. Fingers can really be quite painful for such little digits that they are. I hope you have a quick and complete recovery.

Well, I am DEFINITELY not going to be very active here for a while. It is just as well that Joe is out of the game.

I go in for surgery on my hand tomorrow. The tendon is completely separated. In fact, it pulled chip of bone out as well. If I had gone in to the emergency room right away, there wouldn't have been any concern about fixing it up. But since it has been 3 1/2 weeks, the tendon may have withdrawn into the palm of my hand. If it has, it cannot be easily repaired. If that happens, which is the worst case, then the doctor will fuse the joint so that it won't suffer any more, and will remove the whole tendon.

Whatever happens, my left hand will be completely immobilized for a few days. After that, I will be wearing various sorts of braces for the next three months.

The fun part of all this is that I am left-handed. And I touch type! So, computer use will be at a very low level for a while (other than reading).

Strange how Joe and you have to heal at the same time. Oh well, now we can make lots of fun in your rave thread and I will call some anti-US users to post lots and lots of threads and you cannot post - only read Of course I am just pulling your finger... umm.. Oh, no Nighthawk! I'm so sorry about that. I know how it hurts! I had the same thing happen in my ankle years ago -- I twisted it so badly that 4 pieces of bone were pulled from my foot as the tendon snapped. (The lesson there was -- don't run in high heels!) I was in a cast for several weeks.

Nighthawk, I am sorry to hear you need surgery. I hope they don't have to fuse the joint. I guess that is why my doctor got mad at me that time when I went in month's later with my finger problem. Fortunately for me, it wasn't as bad as yours.

Once the pain subsides you will just have to type one handed. The international boards will be unbearable for me without you posting on them. Be sure to get lots of posts in today to make up for your absence as well.
