Have you posted your CV online? You seem to have received calls in the past, are you looking for something in particular or are they not paying for your relocation? Do you have any contacts? How about working for the Church in CES or other field?

Yes, I have my resume (CV) on both Monster.com and CareerBuilder.com. I have had lots of recruiters call me, but quite a few of them have been for jobs here, in SE Lower Michigan, Ohio, one of the Carolinas, or even New Hampshire. We really don't want to stay here, or move to the east.

I had a great phone interview with a company in Quincy, Illinois, about 90 minutes south of Nauvoo. But I never heard back from them. I also had a great phone interview with a company in Lawrence, Kansas. Same thing.

The Church doesn't pay much, especially in CES, except for possibly area managers or something. We would also have to pay for our own relocation. Which we cannot do right now.

So what is your timeline then? How long will you maintain the focus before you go to Plan B (decide to make your way to there in another way).

Since my office moved, I have to drive over 45 miles each way to work, through some of the worst traffic and perennial construction in the Detroit area. I figure that it is costing us between $250 and $300 more per month for me to get to and from work, not to mention that the city we work in has a "city income tax" added on top of the Federal and State income taxes.

So, since March, when we made the move, we (my family) have been getting further and further behind. Just when we think we might get slightly ahead, something breaks on my car.

So, I don't have any idea of a timeline. We are trying to sell our house right now. If that works, and I still haven't found another job, then we will probably rent somewhere at least 10 or 15 miles closer to work.

However, yesterday, I had some very positive results. Perhaps I will have some good news in the next few weeks.

That is a very long drive, and I do know what it is like having done it a number of times in the past. Maybe if your wife can start to pull in an income or larger income then it can work?

I also remember you talking about doing commercial writing, what became of that? It is a good sideline job to bring you in more money.

I don't know what is going on with copywriting. For some reason, every time I try to get into it, I hit some mental block. I don't know if it is fear, self-doubt, or what.
