I really appreciate the fact that I have been given 200 "charm" points. Actually, I think I have received 201 "plus" points, and one "minus" point. I absolutely LOVE my one "minus" point!

Introduction Nighthawk

It has been a very interesting weekend. I am so overwhelmed that I still don't want to think about things. I almost had to force myself to come to the forum tonight.

We had Ward Conference yesterday. During Sunday School, my wife and I were asked to visit with the Bishop. He took me into a classroom and interviewed me for a temple recommend.

Now, my last Bishop had told me not to use my temple recommend, after the Stake President told me to go frequently. All of the attitudes here are completely different than we are used to.

Anyway, after the Stake President interviewed us, one of his counselors met with both of us, together. It seems that I was to be interviewed for a calling that requires a temple recommend. I can't disclose what it is until next week, after I am presented to the ward. However, it has overwhelmed me. It is a position that I have not considered, and would not desire in any way. (No, it is not the office of Bishop.)

Anyway....

It has been, and is, very cold here. Several mornings lately we have had temperatures below 0 degrees F. A lot of our daytime high temperatures have been in the low 20's, some days even in the teens.

We are buying a house. It is big, with a big yard. We expect to close on it on Wednesday, and move in on Saturday.

I will update here as we know more.

You got me curious about that calling but I think I know what it is.

I am glad to hear about your house purchase! JB and I hope to get our own soon but basic housing here right now is over a million TT dollars (over 160,000US) I am talking about a basic home with little or no yard in no fancy area.

Just a very quick note.

We moved in today. We are all completely exhausted, and there is still stuff at the old house that we need to get this week.

We had a lot of help, otherwise it would have been impossible. It is amazing the amount of stuff that we have accumulated.
