Nighthawk Introduction - Page 63

I can contribute greatly to any sort of manufacturing, and am building skills to increase my value.

I am almost halfway through my MBA, have completed the training for a Six Sigma Green Belt, and am currently studying additional quality-oriented subjects on my own.

We have changed the timetable for our move. We are moving this weekend. Going to be a bit hectic for a while.

Good luck on the move. I know that moving can be a very stressful time. I hope that your move goes well and that the stress is at a lower level.

Well, we are now living in Roy, UT. Our mailing address is in Hooper, but the house is in Roy.

We got here on the afternoon of the 19th. We finally got everything out of the truck and trailer on the 22nd.

So far, my job search is not very productive, but there are great resources here, including LDS Employment services, a professional networking group, and a strong network of people that I know.

I hope to have some good news soon.

I hope to hear of you in a new job in the next few weeks. You and your family are in my prayers on that.

Nighthawk Introduction

Life is just full of "ugh!" right now.

Still unemployed. I have applied to over 60 jobs related to my experience and abilities. I have had two phone interviews and one on-site. It is getting really depressing.

Our 15 year-old son is having some physical problems. He will have to have a colonoscopy in a week and a half. Fortunately, we got state-sponsored insurance for him this week, so we won't have to pay for the whole $2,000 ourselves.

I just got banned from an LDS email group I have been active on for over 10 years. The list owner (who is a distant relative) started a discussion about "blind obedience". I, foolishly, answered. Since I hold that the doctrine of Prophetic infallibility is in opposition to scripture and to the foundations of the restoration, I am considered apostate now. I guess I should not have listed the many, many discrepancies between what was taught by Joseph Smith and other early leaders, and what the present Church teaches.

Life just gets better and better. I'd like to find a hole, climb in it, and pull it in after me.

Don't get soft Nighthawk, "gird up thy loins" I think that was the original reason you found this place (being banned elsewhere) maybe you should remember Mature LDS Discussions: unhindered, understandable, no name calling, banned only if you claim to know more than Joseph Smith, and there are similar Discussions there you can give input.

Hang in there Nighthawk. I know things will get better. Sometimes you have to take the path least traveled and endure some hardships so that everything comes together in the end. I know a job will come up for you one that you will enjoy. You just have to stay with your principals and endure this hardship for awhile.
