Nighthawk Introduction - Page 12

I must have missed something. Did Nighthawk have a flood in his basement? My cellar got flooded this winter. I had about 6 inches of water, minimum in the entire basement. It even put out the pilot light on my gas water heater. I caught it before it got to the furnace. The water was coming out the basement door which is at the bottom of the stairs and into the family room. It was quite a mess.

It wasn't as bad as it first appeared. Only a couple of boxes were really bad.

The thing is, we can't see where the water came from. Some buckets had water on top of them, but none of the boxes right beside them were wet. It looks like the water came from above, and the drain was plugged, that's why it flooded, but I can't find anywhere on the walls or ceiling where there is even a hint of dampness, let alone the type of wetness that there should be for the amount of water.

So, we have moved most of the stuff, and now letting the floor dry.

One of these days, I really need to see the voting for these things. My moderation efforts have consisted of posting lots of things to try to stimulate discussion, and trying to maintain my own position.
