AP - President Barack Obama asserted unprecedented government control over the auto industry Monday, rejecting turnaround plans from General Motors and Chrysler and raising the prospect of controlled bankruptcy for either ailing auto giant.

overhaul Chrysler GM force deadline sets Obama
I am not sure I like the plans the government has set out for these two auto makers. I think to save tax payers money they should let them go into bankruptcy and have something better come out of it all. I believe getting rid of the CEO for GM was a wise decision but the government should have not forced him out.
