My ex-live-in-boyfriend violated my family.
He was a sex offender and I did not know it.
After several years of abusing my daughters (including our one daughter together) he was deported back to Trinidad. That took years and years of me contacting every government official I could to help me with this process, because the local government only gave him probation. They even had the nerve to alert me that he would be eligible for unsupervised visits with our biological daughter after 3 years from my reporting it.
He is back in Trinidad for 4 years now, but I know that it is only a matter of time that another family (more than likely a single mom) will be trying to patch up her children's lives like I find myself doing on a regular basis.
All sex offenders deported from the U.S. Should be placed on a Trinidad Sex Offender Registry. Why does Trinidad not have one? It is just a matter of time before theses predators act again. I feel that he might have done so already.
