President Trump fires inspector general who handled the Ukraine complaint that triggered his impeachment. President Donald Trump informed the Senate intelligence committee Friday of his decision to fire Michael Atkinson, according to a letter obtained by The Associated Press. Trump wrote that it is "Vital" that he has confidence in the appointees serving as inspectors general, and "That is no longer the case with regard to this inspector general." Ref. USAToday.

Well, that was quite harsh. Although I'm pretty sure that the firing of this inspector general could have far more reasons involved, not known from the public that trump wanted to 'deal' with in a swift, firm manner.
