At 2-years-old she was removed from her home and crowded into Poland's Krakow Ghetto. At 5-years-old she was taken to the Plaszow Labour Camp where she witnessed unspeakable horrors. And at 8-years-old she was saved from certain death by Oskar Schindler. Ref. Source 4

I had the amazing opportunity to interview Oskar's wife many years ago. She lived an extremely simple life with little or no help at all in very poor conditions. Taking into consideration what Emily and Oskar did, I would have thought better care they should received.
