BRUNSWICK | A 136-acre block of waterfront property that was supposed to be home to a $1 billion to $2 billion development is for sale for $15 million.Liberty Harbor, a proposed development with 1,800 residences, a 400-room hotel, 300,000 square feet of commercial space and a 450-slip marina on the Brunswick River is being offered by the Chicago company MorrisAnderson, the company said in a release.MorrisAnderson, which consults in turnarounds, is trying to sell property, some of which went unsold at auction on the Glynn County Courthouse steps for delinquent taxes.

SAN FRANCISCO | LinkedIn is hoping to unleash more wisdom on its professional networking service by giving its 277 million account holders more space to share their experiences and insights.A new feature rolling out Wednesday will free LinkedIn users from restrictions that have limited posts to a maximum of 300 characters. Those limits had been in effect since the service began allowing status updates in 2009.

City Permit Clears Way For UPS Liquefied Natural Gas Station By Late Summer

United Parcel Service should have its liquefied natural gas fueling station in Jacksonville by late summer. The city issued a $4.5 million building permit for the project this week at the UPS facility on Imeson Road, west of Interstate 295. That follows a $648,000 permit issued last week.The station, which will be used only by UPS trucks with no public access, is one of 13 the package delivery company is building around the country.

An Atlanta-area company has completed its purchase Vulcan Materials Co.?s cement and ready mix facilities, including eight properties in Jacksonville.Argos announced the acquisition earlier this month of 85 Vulcan facilities in Florida and South Georgia for $720 million. But the Jacksonville transactions were not filed until Wednesday in Duval County Circuit Court.The local purchases totalled $4.5 million for ready-mix facilities on University Boulevard, Gordon Street, Roosevelt Boulevard, Palmetto Street, Oakley Street, New Berlin Road and Edgewood Avenue.
