Action News Jacksonville has informed five of its anchors that they?re being let go, the Jacksonville Business Journal reported Wednesday.Mark Spain, Paige Kelton, Lynnsey Gardner, Mike and Tera Barz were informed last week, the Business Journal reported, with their last day on air to be around Sept. 1.General Manager Jim Zerwekh told the Times-Union that he couldn?t confirm or deny the report.

Marcus Lemonis hasn?t finalized his purchase of the old Seminole Club yet, but he?s already adding to his downtown holdings. The CEO of Camping World and AutoMatch USA said he signed a letter of intent on Wednesday to buy the long-empty Florida Baptist Convention building on Church Street. And he?s got his eye on more.He?s going to buy the Baptist building at 218 Church Street for $350,000, he said, because it?s attached in the back to the Seminole Club, where he intends to move Sweet Pete?s and bring other businesses as well.

220 Riverside Development Unity Plaza On Track For Fall Early 2015 Opening

An ambitious $40 million retail, residential and public park project that has risen from the ground in the historically neglected Brooklyn neighborhood along Riverside Avenue is on track for completion by fall 2014 or early next year, developers said Wednesday.The timeline for some pieces of the 220 Riverside development have been pushed back slightly because of a few routine construction delays. But Alex Coley, principal with Hallmark Partners, the lead developer, said the project is moving steadily forward and should be fully completed no later than early 2015.

Southwest Airlines is ending flights between Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale, but the impact on air travelers should be negligible since two other airlines are readily stepping into to take over the flight path.In the past month, Southwest officials decided to end the inter-state flight that went from the First Coast to South Florida. Southwest spokeswoman Michelle Agnew said in an email that the flights will end Nov. 2.
