But as the holiday season starts earlier and earlier each year, Black Friday has become a full week.Target and Walmart already held one-day sales this week. And Walmart is stretching its Black Friday sale into a five-day event.

NBC says it has scrapped a Bill Cosby comedy that was under development, the second outlet within a day to put off or abandon a Cosby project after another sexual assault allegation against the comic emerged.NBC spokeswoman Rebecca Marks said Wednesday the project ?is no longer under development,? and had no further comment.

Wal-Mart Buys Land On Jacksonvilles Westside For Supercenter Just West Of I-295

Wal-Mart has purchased the property where it plans to build a new Supercenter on the Westside. The retail giant paid $5.25 million for the property on Collins Road, just west of Interstate 295.The company had received a building permit for the $7.8 million store in July. At the time, a spokesman said construction would start soon and take about a year.Gate said it will build a convenience store and gas station in front of the Wal-Mart.

Jacksonvilles ParkerVision Gets $7 Million In Funding For Patent Lawsuits

Jacksonville?s ParkerVision Inc. wireless technology firm got a major infusion of funding to continue its legal fight to protect its patents.ParkerVision announced this week that it has entered into a funding agreement with 1624 PV LLC for up to $7 million to cover legal fees and expenses incurred for future patent infringement legal action. The agreement calls for ParkerVision to reimburse 1624 PV LLC with proceeds reaped from future litigation.

Regency Centers Buys Mixed-use Shopping Center In Seattle

Regency Centers has continued its growth in the Pacific Northwest by purchasing Broadway Market, a mixed-use shopping center in Seattle.The Jacksonville-based company and an investment partner bought the shopping center for $43 million, according to public records from King County, Wash.Broadway Market is home to 30 apartments and 111,000 square feet of retail, according to a news release from Regency Centers. It has 11 stores, including Gold?s Gym, T-Mobile and Urban Outfitters. QFC, a grocery store owned by Kroger Co., serves as its anchor.
