Apple unveils new iPad, announces prices and release date

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) ? Apple's new iPad model features a sharper screen and a faster processor, the company confirmed Wednesday.
Apple said the new display will be sharper than the high-definition television set in the living room. The company says it will show more saturated colors than previous models.
The company said the iPad is powered by a new chip with four processing cores, for smoother graphics.

Walk, run or ride to fund Orlando vacations for children of ill parents

A Jacksonville nonprofit that funds Orlando theme park trips for children of parents battling life-threatening illnesses will host its third annual walk/run and ride on March 24.
The Marty 5K Walk/Run, 25-Mile Ride and 1-Mile Fun Run is staged by the Memories of Love Foundation, founded by the family of Martin Gottlieb. The married father of two, a philanthropist who operated a medical billing company, died of a heart attack in 2004 after surgery.

Penney Farms in Clay County will hold its first benefit Farmer's Market and Plant Sale Saturday.
Proceeds go to the J.C. Penney Memorial Scenic Highway, a 3-mile stretch of Florida 16 in and around Penney Farms that has been designated for preservation and enhancement.
The market will have plants, trees, fruits and vegetables and other items for sale, according to a news release. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kohler Park, which is located on Clark Avenue near Town Hall, off Florida 16.

Healthy Families camp at EverBank Field to proceed Saturday, rain or shine

Rainy weather is expected Saturday but the American Heart Association's Healthy Family Training Camp will go on regardless.
The event is to be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Pepsi Cabana Village, EverBank Field. If rain interrupts, activities will be moved under the cabanas, according to a news release.
Also, organizers have revealed a few more details about the camp. Among the professional athletes slated to attend and play games with families are members of the Jacksonville Jaguars football team and the Destroyers soccer team, according to the release.

Indoor trampoline center to open in Mandarin

Rebounderz, a franchised indoor trampoline center, has signed a lease to move into The Shoppes at Durbin Crossing on Old St. Augustine Road.
It will move into a 23,900-square-foot space and will features 13,000 square feet of trampolines, along with a smaller space for toddlers, foam pit, arcade, cafe and lounge.
It?s owned by David and Laura Zorn and is expected to open this summer.
The chain currently has three locations open: One in Longwood and two in Virginia. Eleven more scheduled to open this year.
