Vermont approves gay marriage
The Vermont Legislature yesterday overrode Gov. Jim Douglas' veto of a bill allowing gay couples to marry, mustering one more vote than needed to preserve the measure. The step makes Vermont the first state to allow same-sex marriage through legislative action instead of a court ruling, and comes less than a week after the Iowa Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriages in that state. Gay marriage seems to be taking over the US, but there seems to be some fighting between the State and Federal Courts? Also, it seems that the percentage of US Citizens that actually want Gay Marriage legalized is very small compared to those that do not.
