According to a report from CNN these are the red flags to know if your child may have autism:

It's good they are trying to make people more aware of Autism, but that video didn't really show much about the disorder. The kid didn't look like he had Autism, he just seemed like he was playing with a toy and thought the adults were annoying. I bet a lot of people saw that video and assumed their child was Autistic. It is good to look for the warning signs and pay attention to your child's development.

That's the interesting thing about Autistic children. They do not have a "particular" look. The spectrum is huge, from low functioning (non-verbal kids, no eye contact, etc) to kids who look and act as any other kid until you start interacting with them more deeply and realize something is just a little odd. My son is like that. Most people don't know he is autistic because he is fully conversational, do school work etc, and looks and plays like any regular kid.

I think when most people think about Autism think about a non-verbal kid spinning around and in his own world. The truth is that not all of them are like that hence sometimes if you're in public and see one of them getting a tantrum most people would brushed off as the child is spoiled when in fact he's autistic.

Autism Signs Early

I wasn't saying that Autistic kids have specific physical characteristics. I was saying that the kid seemed to be playing as a normal kid would. I have been around many Autistic people and you can usually tell by their actions that something is different about them. I know that some people are affected less by the disorder, but I think the video would confuse many parents.
