Wes when someone is debating a topic, it is the person who makes the claim the one that has to back it up, in this case it is YOU, not me. I said already its not in the scriptures so just say you was wrong by making the whole "God named the book" comment and move on, isnt hard really.

But thats the point, you keep saying God named it...I say: PROVE IT that He did. Bring your sources! I'm willing to take a look at it.

I can't say I was wrong when I said that God named the book. I can't, because I believe that to be true.

You're mixing up things. I'm asking to provide a reference where it says that God put the name "The Book of Mormon", thats your claim Wes. Like I said, if you dont have one just say you was wrong in making a claim you have no sources to back up.

Then if you believe God named the book solely by your own testimony and not through the scriptures then you should have said that it is your personal belief that He did. Other than that, you cant make a claim like that as a "fact" when you're not able to provide the sources.

Rather off topic, but... I aint asking you to prove the veracity of the BOM so please dont go by the tangent.

Page 3 Mormon Book Rename

Good evening brothers and sisters I'm new on this message board but I'm learning so much already for instance I never pondered about how the Book of Mormon got it's name I thought maybe Moroni just put it, anyhow brothers and sisters the book is sacred and should be left as it is.

Hi Nephi,

I think a better idea would be to publish the books in the Book of Mormon, with art and possibly even a different name.

For instance, one can read (or listen to it on mp3s) the Book of Helaman and it itself is a fascinating story.

All the large books in the Book of Mormon could be prepared this way, possibly giving an simple introduction at the start.

I haven't been here in awhile so I looked over the replies and was a bit shocked by some of the responses. I'm not saying I'm going to petition for this, it was just something to think about.

I don't get this are you saying that each will be a separate book we have to carry around? That will not be practical.
