I am a Canadian, living in Canada right now. I have recently been offered a job in Trinidad working with a local security company. I am in the security industry, and would be going down there to train security personnel and help build their skills. I would like my wife and kids to come with me, but have no idea where to start.

My apologies. As you can see, I replied to the latest post on this topic (asking me where I was located) and proceeded to ask my questions. When I re-read all the posts, I saw that you had specified posting any questions on the T&T board. I then moved my post there to get more response. Sorry for forgetting to delete it here. That was my intention.
I am not trying to be "flippant", and this is my first time on this site. As I can see you are very much a mediator here, and I appreciate your help and concern, but I was after all just doing what YOU said in the beginning - posting on T&T. I do have two kids at home, and it is a saturday afternoon and I got caught up in my home life - therefore I timed out my chance of editing my post on the T&T board - thank you for combining my posts.
I see that you are a very active member as well as a resident - maybe you could answer some of my questions - seeing that you're online right now. I, unlike many others I see on here, am excited at the prospect of moving to T&T - that country needs as much help economically and socially that it can get right now and although I am just one man, I feel that I may be able to help some people (in the security field at least) recognize different and new ways to approach situations. I'm sorry for my anxiousness, but I am on a time line and need as much information as possible in the shortest amount of time.
Thanks again,
