Jane Introduction

I apologize I presume my email was auto sent before I introduced myself - I had to walk away from my computer for a brief moment. I will try once again.

I am a native Floridian living in Ft. Lauderdale. My husband is a security consultant and sales manager and he deals primarily with the Caribbean.

He is interviewing for a job opportunity in Trinidad next week and I would like very much to hear the feedback of others regarding living there.

Thank you all so much for responding to my interest. "Source 3" is quite informative and I am also doing other online research with regards to safe places to live (it is all relative, correct-safety that is?) It has been many years since I have traveled outside of the US so I am keeping an open mind and doing my research until I get to visit Trini. I haven't had much luck yet looking for rental homes. 2-3 Bedroom, 2 bath What I have found ranges from $850 - $3,500 USD.

If you want a decent home, in a decent neighborhood and I mean decent as US standards (nothing fancy) then get ready to pay at least US$3,500 a month since the average lifestyle in the US is considered here and payed as "luxury".
