Jodie, I can only imagine how hard this is for you and the rest of the family. Having said that, you are mentioning that mental illness runs wild in the family's bloodline and it is obvious by the horrific crimes Donald committed. It is sad for everyone involved but we need to protect the possible victims of a man who is mentally disturbed and that doctors say he is not able to rehabilitate. I do not say he should go back to jail after he fulfilled his sentence but to a mental institution. It is not a matter of second chances but a matter of safety.

That was one expensive shoelace! He doesnt have the shoelace in his cell and he was definitely free to go. I am shocked that he got such a original deal for the initial killing to potentially allow him freedom by age 43. Those women he killed are locked up in boxes forever because he was slighted by the first one. If rejection, even one time, ended up in that amount of deaths. I see little way he can be rehabilitated or rather a guaranteed "no-risk" to society at large. From what I understand his current earliest realease date is in 2018. He will be 64 years old at that time. At that age, he probably is much less of a risk.

I would have said that the jury that convicted him on the lethal weapon charge that kept him in jail was just fixing the wrong of the extremely light sentence for the original killings, but that information was actually kept from them in the hearing.

Comments: L.D.S. I can see where you are coming from on that, I do feel really bad for the victims and their families, I agree that a mental facility would be the best after his release.

Comments: Jodie! If they allow your cousin to be released can he stay at your house and if so you really think you will be able to sleep? If your answer to these questions are yes ! I think you are still drinking and doing drugs ! Another thing Jodie your cousin was killing while he was not under the influence of anything , other than pure pleasure and if Don was my 20th cousin I would not admit it!

Comments: I met Donald when when I was in Prison with him. I wasn't in prison for murder or even anything close but I've sat at a table with Donald, not knowing what he was in for and I've looked into this man's eyes. This man is crazy and should never be released. Trust me on this.

Comments: They made the deal, then stiffed him on a shoelace, trust I hate what he did but it doesn't give law a right to play with people after they serve they time, hell they are the ones who gave him the deal,,,looks like underbelly double jeopardy!
