Wow...apparently Jack Kemp died from the hand of his own party one former party member Senator Specter has illuded:

Specter hints Kemp died of GOP agenda By Tom LoBianco (Contact) | Monday, May 4, 2009 Arlen Specter, Pennsylvania Democrat, said part of the reason that he left the Republican Party last week was disillusionment with its health-care priorities, and suggested that had the Republicans taken a more moderate track, Jack Kemp may have won his battle with cancer. Mr. Specter, responding to a question from CBS' Bob Schieffer over whether he had let down Pennsylvanians who wanted a Republican to represent them, said he thought his priorities were more in line with those of the Democrats. "Well, I was sorry to disappoint many people. Frankly, I was disappointed that the Republican Party didn't want me as their candidate," Mr. Specter said on "Face the Nation." "But as a matter of principle, I'm becoming much more comfortable with the Democrats' approach. And one of the items that I'm working on, Bob, is funding for medical research." Mr. Specter continued: "If we had pursued what President Nixon declared in 1970 as the war on cancer, we would have cured many strains. I think Jack Kemp would be alive today. And that research has saved or prolonged many lives, including mine." Mr. Kemp died Saturday of cancer. He had been the running mate of 1996 Republican presidential candidate Bob Dole. |

Right now Sen. Arlen Specter is wondering if he made the right decision because he may lose his seniority - the same thing he used as his reason for his election - his position of seniority.

Keep watching. That is all I can say. The democrats couldnt just give him a gift with everyone watching. Plus, the committee chairs have been filled. Check out where he ends up after the next elections, should he win. It was kind of like the deal you KNOW Hillary worked out when she bowed out of the race. She wasnt going to say...well I dropped out of the race, but I have been given my choice of a SWEET Cabinet Post!
His primary reason for doing it was to be able to run in the next election. He made the switch and he will get to run as a Democrat.
I think if the independent running rules for Pennsylvania were different, he might have gone that direction.

Arlen Specter continues to suck
He's currently on the town hall tour, and this is one time Glenn is pro-abortion -- pro Arlen aborting this tour. It's a disaster for him, but he keeps on taking the punishment. Good luck next election, Arlen. Hope that party switch works out for ya. Glenn reacts to Arlen's latest craptastic event and others around the country. Plus, an in-depth report on the members of the 'mob.' Ref. Source 7
The new Arlen Specter
Just like the special election in New York, NY-23, is a perfect example of everything wrong in politics, Senator Arlen Specter is an example of everything wrong with politicians. Obama must love this guy, because he's so transparent you can practically see right through him. He's now conveniently changed his opinion on another major issue to better suit his election chances. Glenn breaks down the blatant, sad and pathetic case that is Arlen Specter. Ref. Source 6
Specter insults Bachmann
Of course, there is no outcry when the left displays their sexism for all to see. In a joint interview on the Dom Giordano program (1210 WPHT Philadelphia) Senator Specter asked Michele Bachmann what solutions she had. When she said lower taxes to stimulate the economy rather than government spending, Specter called her answer 'simplistic' (translation: stupid). She tried to respond and that's when Specter's idiocy spilled out. Glenn plays the audio and responds on radio this morning. Ref. Source 4
I listened to Mr. Specter's comments. It just sounded to me like more of the same old arrogance. Congresswoman Bachman is the ONLY politician who has fully supported the tea party movement from the beginning. She is one of a very few who continually proclaim conservative principles. The Democrats hate her with a passion, and Mr. Specter just showed it.
