Tachometer Readings
What are Tachometer Readings and how do you interpret them?
Your Tachometer shows the numbers 1 thru 9. With dashes between. The whole numbers stand for 1,000 revolutions per minute that your engines crank shaft is doing. The higher the number the harder the harder your vehicles engine is working. The engines usually has a sweet spot where it will get the best milage. This is somewhere around the 2,000 revolutions per minute. As you learn the feel of your vehicle you will be able to get the most out of it by watching your tach.
