'The Bubba Factor'
As Bill and Hillary Clinton begin a three-day charm offensive in the key state of Iowa, ABC News' David Wright dissects the Clinton campaign's strategy of deploying perhaps its greatest weapon, ex-President Clinton. But will Bill help bolster his wife's standing with the voters or simply outshine her? It's a political double-edged sword that one old campaign hand calls "The Bubba Factor."

I think the real reason Bill Clinton wants back into the white house to to find another Monica Lewinsky, and Hillary wants revenge. she seems to carry a chip on her shoulder.

I am not sure how you reached that conclusion Wayne, do you have any source material to back that up or are you merely speculating in the highest form? How will Hillary get revenge?

Hillary Clinton Tells Planned Parenthood Conference She Wants Tax-Funded Abortions
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Hillary Clinton was one of three candidates to appear at a Planned Parenthood conference yesterday where she told the abortion advocates she would promote abortion as president. In addition, Clinton also said that her first action as president would be to reverse President Bush's policy on international abortions. When Bush first took office, he put the Mexico City policy back in place that has been the international policy under Presidents Reagan and Bush and revoked by President Clinton. The Mexico City policy ensures that taxpayer funds are not directed to groups that promote or perform abortions in other countries. Clinton said she would do away with the policy on her first day in office. Meanwhile, during a question and answer period, the New York senator did not say specifically that she would only appoint pro-abortion judges to the Supreme Court -- a litmus test some of her fellow Democratic presidential candidates have pledged. Clinton also criticized President Bush for promoting abstinence education instead of comprehensive sex-ed and said she would promote the morning after pill as president and force hospitals and military base clinics to dispense it.
An Ex-President and Future First Mate?
ABC's Kate Snow travels with former President Clinton to Africa, where he has focused much of his power and passion on behalf of impoverished communities while still staying atuned to Sen. Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential prospects at home. Clinton's rock star appeal crosses continents. One day he's in New Hampshire stumping for his wife with adoring supporters, and then he's in an African village where people climb tall trees just to get a glimpse of the 60-year-old former president. His characteristic stamina and enthusiasm remain intact as he talks about his hopes for the continent and what life might be like for him as first gentleman in 2008.

Hillary Clinton could become an effective and surprisingly strong President.
Bill Clinton as Vice-President is a possibility.
But I believe that Al Gore could become the Vice-President candidate. Depending on the race among the Democrats, Al Gore could possibly become their Presidential candidate for 2008 election
Federally funded abortions! Well, I see we aren't trying to wooo any of the moderate conservatives or trying to turn any of "fly-over" country from red states to blue states.
A lot of people are saying that it will be a Clinton/Obama ticket. I am not so sure. First off, she has to beat Obama and that is not going to be as easy as said. He is learning the ropes, but is catching on quickly. He is a good speaker that has a way of making him seem pretty up to speed on most topics and that he is a logical thinker. Hillary still comes across as bitter and immovable on most topics. So she has to get by him as a presidential candidate first... If she does take the nomination, I have a feeling that there is going to be a pretty nasty battle for it. I am not so sure that Obama will be willing to or if she would even want to have him as a running mate after the mud slinging that will happen. Gore actually might be a good VP candidate again or maybe Edwards... I just have the feeling that it is going to be pretty personal and nasty for that nomination and don't think they are going to be the best of buddies after it.

Clinton/Gore in 2008? Well, that would about do it for me. I couldn't sit still for that one! I'd have to get actively involved in the opposing campaign and pray mightily to win....
Rather off topic, but... It's bad enough that GW is passing laws by Executive Order privilege that encroach on our freedoms and rights, but to have Hillary in office handing out my tax dollars to some other country to fund abortions?.... The world is swiftly coming to an end, in my opinion. |
