Major arrested in medals inquiry

An army officer awarded a gallantry medal has been arrested as part of an inquiry into claims that honours may have been based on false battle write-ups. Ref. Source 3

I hope for his sake that the investigation turn out that he was not making a false battle write up. I think that anyone getting a medal for what actions they took, deserve the medals they were awarded. I know there are times that one may stretch the truth a bit but usually the military member does deserve a medal.
