Do you think it is stereotyping if you require your deputies to wear a mask when encountering someone who is Hispanic?

I believe that is stereo typing but with Arizona being a border state and it is a known fact that many illegals come across the border in the border states this is a good idea. Keeping your officers safe is a must too.

At this point, wearing a mack around anyone is the only safe way. Especially if you are a border state

Actually, wearing the mask is of very little help to those that do not have the virus. Remember, the virus can be transmitted through any mucus membrane (eyes are quite nice for this). All the hispanic person pulled over by the police has to do is cough in his general direction at about head level. I think that targeting hispanic confrontations as appropriate to don your mask is pretty foolish now as it is obvious that this is not just a hispanic thing any longer.

A guy that has the virus sneezes. Some of the microbes get onto his hand because he doesnt sanitized and then he touches some money. He uses that dollar bill at 7/11 to buy something. Those germs are good for as long as another 17 hours to find a host. The best modeling of a virus basically imagines the path of a single dollar bill.

The mask work for those that actually have the virus. They are not fail proof, but they do help to slow the spread of the virus by helping to decrease the spray of germs during coughing and sneezing.
