I believe that proving that this or that player is "Greatest Of All Time" is given more importance than it deserves.
I grew up in Michael Jordan's time, and I spent much more time enjoying his game, the game of "Magic", Bird, Shaq, and the rest than I did thinking about if he was or wasn't the best.
I think the label is anecdotal and not relevant really.
