Introduction Jchampers

I am back but I must explain why I had a bit of a break. I was a bit annoyed with the responses from my last post. Should one stay together because of the children. I was in a bad place and I guess I needed both side of the argument but all.I got was "Stay" without really knowing the full story plus not knowing who I am or my ex-parter. To answer the question we did not stay together for our child because I believe that kind of tension could do irreversible damage to our child and he's coped really well. I think it is because of his age. Articles I've read have stated that the younger the child is, the less trauma it is and therefore they will see as having two homes the norm. Anyway enough of that… I got my fourth Dan in Taekwondo and now am juggling my sport, work and my gorgeous son. Obviously his dad sees him for a couple of nights a week and he (Our son) is the priority! & I am in a good place. I've started drawing and feel so much better in my self. It was a horrible way it ended (He cheated) but in hindsight, I believe it was inevitable. So thanks for welcoming me back after my little rest and rant.

Welcome back Hope that things continue to go very well for you. Great job on making your fourth Dan. I studied some of the Kae Kwon do they do not teach in the states when I was in Korea back in 1983-1985. Keep up the good work.

Thanks KNtoran. I am quite chuffed about being a fourth Dan. Tomorrow I am doing a seminar which will allow me to judge at competitions. So that's very exciting! I am pretty in awe of you to have studied in Korea with with! I plan to go to Korea next year to do one of the competitions over there. Anyway, its been fun. It and good friends and family, have helped with the separation - soon to be divorce. I am seeing someone new (Someone I've known for 15 years) and he is reminding me how wonderful new love can be! Anyway, hope to be on here a bit more lately.

Keep working to achieve the goals you have set out for yourself. It is always nice to know that you can love once again and have faith in humans restored some what. I will warn you that when you go over to Korea be prepared for the smell. It has a nickname of the armpit of the world. So take heed on that *smile* You do get used to the smell after a couple days. Also pay heed to those around you. IT is a pretty safe country but keep your eyes open for possible issues.

I have been dipping in and out of the community for 10+ years. Wow, how time flies. I am enjoying life at the moment. In lockdown 4 with my boy, who is now 9, my dog who is drooling in his sleep as I write this and my kitty can who is under the couch. I am unable to wor, due to the pandemic and being a non-essential tradesperson but I am surviving. Remote learning is a daily battle and reducing screen time is hard. I have started painting and drawing and have a bit of a following, so that's nice. I miss training - Taekwondo. I realized that my last addition to my intro was 5 years ago! As I had just done my 4th dan. This year, I was supposed to go for my 5th, but being the pandemic and all, It hasn't happened. So perhaps in 2021! Anyway, that's my lot atm. I'll catch you up in another 5 years! .
