Brittanee Drexel Case

Another missing teen that I do not think will be found alive. She went on vacation and stopped communicating with her parents. She suffers of depression and is upset at the upcoming divorce of her mom and stepfather.

QUOTE
New York teen Brittanee Drexel had "her mind set" on spring break in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Her mom didn't want her to go, but the strong-willed 17-year-old from Rochester, N.Y., went anyway - now she's missing, and her mom fears the worst.

Brittanee's mom, Dawn Drexel, said her daughter made it to the hotel and kept in touch until last Saturday night. That's when the messages suddenly stopped and the high school junior vanished, seemingly without a trace, she said.

"It's a parent's worst nightmare," said Dawn Drexel. "There's a lot of things that don't add up, and I'm scared that there's the possibility that she's not alive....

I believe in this case that this girl does not want to be found and does not want to be there when her mom and step dad separate. I would not be surprised to know that this girl is just one of many runaway children.

The mom, Dawn Drexel, was on FNC today. Brittanee left on a Spring Break vacation without her permission. Brittanee is 17, and alone away from home - disaster waiting to happen. Teens, make sure to listen to the advice of your parents.

Good luck on that one. I have had two 17 year old teens so far and they seem to want to grow up very quickly. They know they are just one year away from adulthood and they feel that a parent is at times holding them back. They have a great tendency to break the rules and not think they should be punished as they are an adult in their eyes.
