I think that if you have a criminal data base of DNA that is as far as it should go. Once you have been convicted of a crime you are required to give your DNA. This way innocent civilians are not giving their DNA and they do not stay in a data base. This will help protect the innocents. I have no problem with the police collecting a DNA sample to solve a case. But one that case is solved all DNA is destroyed. This will ensure that those who are innocent do not have their DNA on file.
