Readers reluctant to pay for online news

Rupert Murdoch's aim to have readers pay for access to newspapers online has been called into question by a global survey that found readers are unlikely to pay for general news they can get elsewhere free. Ref. Source 6

Why should I pay for something that I have been getting fro free on line for the past two years? IF one source wants to charge me then I will simply go to another source for my news.
