JB, the BASIS of the competition is SINGING, just because the criteria people use to vote it is not based on that only doesn't mean the show is any less than a talent singing competition. I do not see Kris Allen as an all rounder at all, he sang terribly in some of the songs, he could not even reach some of the notes. Mediocre performance MOST of the time, he did sang two or 3 good ones but they were not the rule.

In my opinion, he won because people voted on his image...shy, Christian missionary, quiet guy from a small town opposite to gay, Californian guy from big city. He was not the best singer.

No he was not the best singer, he was the best American Idol and chosen victor over other singers. Now stop being jealous . Here is a little something for you in regards to your comments about Kris:

Oh please, how can I be jealous of a man? He was not the best American Idol in my humble opinion, I guess we have to agree to disagree on this one.
