TV6 reported that Trincity Mall had a pungent gaseous smell that circulated the building for over a week. The food court and supermarket has been temporarily closed until the main reason for the odor is ascertained. The emergency authorities claim the smell is harmless.
We were at Trinicity Mall last week. We thought by then the gas smell issue would have been taken care of but it was not. The smell only emanates from the new part of the mall where Pennywise and TruValu are located. I thought the smell was upsetting but many sat and ate there with no mind about it.
I was there earlier today and entered through the abovementioned entrance. I got a scent but I thought it was from the store. Apart from that there wasn't anything serious and if I didn't read this article, I wouldn't have thought that there was a special problem with the building apart from the toilets which always reek.
Went through Trincity Mall today. Most of the shops were open by 3pm and almost all the food courts were already serving at 12pm when we arrived. They have very big Christmas Displays, giveaways and entertainment for the children. You will want to get down there to show them if you have the chance.
