Strong first quarter for GKC
The first quarter of 2009 showed some positive signs for Grace Kennedy Limited (GKC), as the company was able to report a 38.4 per cent growth in EPS after enduring a challenging 2008. For the quarter ended March 31st 2009, GKC reported a diluted EPS of J$2.68 compared to an EPS of J$1.94 in the comparative period of 2008. The board of directors has approved an interim dividend payment of J$0.50 per share payable on May 26, 2009. Ref. Source 7
