In May, although there were just two events that were worthy of being accorded mega fight status, they lived up to their billing (at least the main events did), with Manny Pacquiao and Lyoto Machida knocking out Ricky Hatton and Rashad Evans respectively, in brutal and surgical fashion.

With heavy-handed hitters like Miguel Cotto, David Haye, Wladimir Klitschko, Robbie Lawler, Andrei Arlovski, Brett Rogers, Scott Smith and Mike Brown all fighting in June, I'm sure we're due for some decisive finishes in the new month* :

My Pick of the Month is Klitschko vs. Haye :

Klitschko vs. Haye is one of the most anticipated heavyweight title fights in a while. Wladimir Klitschko has been the incumbent IBO and IBF champion since beating Chris Byrd in April 2006 and WBO titleholder since the Sultan Ibragimov snorefest in February 2008. David Haye, although previously a cruiserweight, may be Klitschko's biggest challenge of his career due to his combination of power, speed and agility.

Haye dispatched Monte Barrett with ease last November in his first heavyweight bout since moving up, scoring a TKO win after knocking Barrett down five times, but Wladimir Klitschko is another animal altogether. Still, the athletic Haye brings excitement and intrigue to every fight, and we'll see on the 20th if he has what it takes (like the chin) to be a major player at the heavyweight level - and whether he can back up his outrageous antics against the dominant champion in the ring :
