U.S. Border Patrol agents assaulted, threatened
Border Patrol agents were assaulted, beaten and threatened with a knife in three incidents on one night last week that resulted in the arrests of two men from Mexico and a U.S. Citizen. The offenses happened near the border during a two-hour span. Ref. Source 3k.
These men and women are really our first line of defense and they don't get the thanks they deserve. They are spread ridiculously thin against a well armed and determined enemy, whether that enemy be drug runners, people who infiltrate illegals, or worse.
I talk to border patrol agents on a regular basis. To say they are outgunned on the Mexican border is a understatement. I have heard of the Mexican army escorting illegal aliens up to 100 miles inside the US border at times. Yes the US is being regularly invaded by a foreign army on a regular basis and we can not do anything to stop it because soo many illegal sympathizers.
Yes, I've heard the same thing regarding the Mexican Army. I have a friend who is fairly high up in ICE and another in CBP and they say that. What they say is that it's Mexican soldiers who are paid for by the drug runners and illegal transporters, not the Mexican Army under orders from Mexico. Also, the fact American citizens go down there to help illegals makes their job more difficult.
Wow, if proven to be true people should lose their jobs and then face criminal charges. I mean, what gives people the idea they can do things like this? People are people, there are good and bad. I believe the vast majority of people with badges and guns are good and well meaning. But some people get a badge and they think it's a license to do anything. Or, they have it for so long they feel invulnerable. Nobody in the US is or should be invulnerable… not if they break the law.
I can see something like this happening. As more and more scrutiny is being done with those that protect our borders coming out I am sure you will hear more and more things that go on behind the scenes. Just like with the Secret Service the CPB has gone a long time with no over sight. I think there is abuse of power among other things in the CBP division.
