Now days it seems that using profane language is "cool" in some circles. It used to be that profane language was used mostly by the male gender. However that seems to have changed over the years.
For me I have found that when I hear a "lady" use cuss words, I immediately find myself not liking that person that much and I sense in me a sense of disrespect for that person.
I also recoil when men use profane language, specially comedians. I really do not think it is necessary to use profanity to be funny. I think a comedian, if he is really a talented comedian can be funny without profanity. The really sad part is when the audience in a "robotic manner", laugh at profane jokes.
Why do people find it necessary to color their language with profanity? I do not know, but to me it is quite offensive.
When people use the name of "God" as part of their profanity I feel an inward pain that is hard to explain. Maybe I am "Old Fashion", but I find great beauty in responsible language, I also find great beauty in ladies that act like ladies and men that act like men.
Viva la difference.
