My Lease Is Up

If my lease ends tomorrow do I have to move out tomorrow or the day before?

You must be out fully by midnight of tomorrow and have the keys turned in or what ever instructions they give you for this.

Most places are good about that unless you are in arrears then they might be nastey to you.

You move out the day your lease is over but if you prefer to move out the day before it is not a problem, it all depends on your arrangements.

Up Lease My

I have seen entire apartments emptied (by the landlord) to the curb two days after the lease expired.

I am unsure if their is any actual statutes as to when they are legally allowed to sell the contents of the apartment if the person does not remove their belongings. 30 days however does come to mind. (This is the statute in Canada on any found belongings if public notice is given to have the rightful owner claim the item.)
