Final USVI constitution draft sent to Government House

ST THOMAS, USVI -- Late Monday, US Virgin Islands Governor John deJongh forwarded to Attorney General Vincent Frazier for review, a copy of the 5th Constitutional Convention document, which delegates hope will be sent to the President and Congress for approval. The Delegates voted to approve the draft on May 26.

I hope that this constitution of theirs is approved as that will make them one step closer to statehood. I would like to see some more of the US territories become states. IT would allow me to have greater travel plans without a passport.
