This case is moving to the US. Australia agreed to turn him over to the US so long as the death penalty will not be sought. The prosecution will have to prove that the husband really intended to murder his wife because so far it is just second degree murder. One of the things brought forward is that he wanted his wife's insurance money but at the same time the money from insurance actually went to the father of his wife so the motive for murder as being financial gain is not there.
