The agencies that deal with breast cancer and cervical screening generally aim their campaigns at those in the Maori and Pacific Island communities. The excuse for this over the years is that even though they make up 15% of the population their statistics for breast cancer was always the worst. Now it has come out that Asian woman have the lowest screening wait, however it is unlikely that the campaigns will change to reflect this.
