ST THOMAS, USVI -- US Virgin Islands Governor John de Jongh and Education Commissioner Dr La Verne Terry have joined the Common Core States Standards Initiatives, a process to develop common English-Language Arts and Mathematics standards, jointly led by the National Governor’s Association Center.

I believe all should join the common standard in education. This will help to ensure that all children have access to a good education in where they can go anywhere and be able to compete with other like students in the working world.
